Mars Enters Aries--Fighting Fire With Fire

Why is the coming transit of Mars in Aries something to highlight in its own post? There's a lot to say and you might want to save this for reference so you don't find yourself in the midst of conflict and trying to fight fire with more fire.

Remember back in January when I was saying that March would be the 'trigger month' for the Saturn Pluto paradigm shift? That was because Mars had entered Capricorn and was going to join Jupiter on the exact degree of the shift (22 Capricorn) and then go on to conjunct Pluto. We now know why March was a trigger month and have witnessed the simmering unrest that accelerated along with Covid-19. Mars is going to act as a trigger again, this time over a longer stretch of time, and we need to know when.

Mars is at its strongest because in Aries because this fire planet rules this fire sign. Both Mars and Aries are gods of war in mythology, so there is a double emphasis on the idea. There are good things about Mars and Aries, so let's mention them first. As a cardinal fire sign, Aries is the white-hot spark as you strike the match.

This type of light-burst has been seen to happen at conception. Self-individuation begins at creation. We all have a unique self we came to express but in order to do that, we need motivation. This, as well as desire, passion and every form of motion (muscles in the body), is ruled by Mars, while in Western Astrology, Aries has jurisdiction over the head and brain. Mars transit of Aries can bring more heat to the head in more ways than one.

Positive attributes are courage, leadership, invention, exploring and innovation. Negative attributes are anger, foolhardiness caused by rushing to act, impatience, domination, self-focus, me-first, conflict, uncompromising, freedom at all costs.

Where we find Mars in the birth chart is a place where one tends to quarrel and has a passionate vested interest. The sign and aspects of Mars color how it will tend to express this. It also shows how the passion of sexuality expresses.

So, now that we know this, we can understand why Mars in Aries is likely to fan the flames of anger and division, prompt us to act on impulse, or can consciously choose to use it to bring out the best in us through courage, invention, and positive leadership.

Mars is in Aries for an unusually long period of time, entering at 9:45 p.m. EDT on Saturday the 27th of June, retrograding at 28 degrees Aries on September 9th, going direct at 15 Aries on November 14th, and finally leaving the sign on January 6, 2021. This is a little over 5 months.

While Mars is in Aries, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto will also be in Capricorn again, and Mars will now square those planets from Aries--more than once. The square is an aspect of conflict that needs a resolution. There are many trigger dates now for issues that were awakened by the Saturn Pluto conjunction.

And there are times when Mars will create aspects to planets in an individual's birth chart. The house(s) where the Mars in Aries transit occurs will see great activity. All planets in Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) will be challenged, and planets from 15 degrees and up can have that challenge three times. This is why I am offering the Special Mars Report...see info and a link to purchase below.
